No. 2 Oregon acrobatics and tumbling (5-2) locked in its seeding and matchup for the 2025 NCATA Championships on April 13. The Ducks — who lost twice this year to top-ranked Baylor but were otherwise unassailable — will face No. 7 Mary Hardin-Baylor in the quarterfinal round.
The Ducks faced the Cru (the 2025 Division III champion) earlier this season at Matthew Knight Arena — a comprehensive victory on Oregon’s senior night finished 275.180-256.005 in the Ducks’ favor. Mary-Hardin Baylor finished the season 7-3, but without a current top-eight win. It’s the same matchup it had in the quarterfinal round last year, where the Ducks advanced.
Oregon’s individual event participation is still up in the air — the Ducks’ participation in those events will depend on their performance in the initial round of the NCATA Championships. The top four scores in each heat will qualify in addition to the at-large bids from non-participating teams.
Their quarterfinal matchup with the Cru is set for April 24, at 11:30 AM Pacific Time in Sioux Falls, SD.
CORRECTION: This article initially stated that Oregon did not qualify for any individual event finals. It has been updated to reflect that it has not yet qualified, and that participation will be decided after the quarterfinal round.

This article has some inaccuracies as Oregon is #2 and won’t know if they qualify for the individual event championships until we get to Sioux Falls.
How Do Athletes Qualify for Individual Event Finals?
There are two paths to qualify:
1. Team-Based Qualification (Top 8 Teams)
Teams that qualify for the National Championship Quarterfinals (Top 8 in the country) automatically have a chance to qualify athletes for the Individual Event Finals.
From Day One (Thursday, April 24th), the top scores in each event will be evaluated.
The highest-scoring routines in each category across all quarterfinal matches will move on to compete in Sunday’s Individual Event Finals.
2. At-Large Bids (For Non-Qualifying Teams)
Teams outside the Top 8 (who didn’t make the team quarterfinal bracket) can still earn a place in the Individual Event Finals.
These are called At-Large Bids.
The NCATA reviews scores from the regular season and invites top-performing routines in each event to compete on Sunday.
This gives standout athletes from across the country a chance to be recognized and compete—even if their team didn’t make the team championship bracket.
