ESPN’s “College GameDay” pregame show will travel to Eugene on Oct. 11 for No. 2 Oregon vs. No. 8 Indiana, the network announced on Saturday. The Ducks (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten) and Hoosiers (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten), who both took bye weeks after wins in Week 5, both enter undefeated and looking to rise to the top of the Big Ten in their first game as conference opponents.
“College GameDay” last visited Oregon for the Ducks’ Week 7 matchup against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Oct. 12, 2024. The game, a 32-31 win for Oregon, became one of head coach Dan Lanning’s first signature victories in the Big Ten.
The Ducks’ most recent appearance on the show came before their away win at Penn State in Week 5, which boosted Oregon to its current second-overall poll ranking. Saturday will be the 34th time the program has been part of the show’s chosen matchup — the Ducks are 20-13 in 33 prior games.
Oregon has only faced Indiana three times in the programs’ history, and not since 2004, when the Ducks lost 30-24 at Autzen Stadium. Back-to-back matchups in 1963 and 1964 resulted in 28-22 and 29-21 wins for Oregon.
The Hoosiers appeared on “College GameDay” three times last season en route to a first-ever playoff berth, including hosting in Bloomington, Indiana before a 31-17 win over Washington on Oct. 26 and away trips to face Ohio State (Nov. 23) and Notre Dame (Dec. 20, CFP first round). Before 2024, Indiana hadn’t hosted the show since 2017, when it opened the season on Aug. 31 against the Buckeyes.
Kickoff for the game at Autzen Stadium is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Historically, the show has been hosted on Oregon’s Memorial Quad, between the Lillis Business Complex and the Knight Library, and begun its live broadcast at 6:00 a.m. PST.
