The Ducks have another quarterback.
University of Nebraska transfer Dylan Raiola announced his commitment to Oregon Jan. 12. He’s not guaranteed to be the starter next year — that depends on whether Dante Moore decides to return or to declare for the NFL Draft — but Raiola will be in Eugene regardless.

The junior was the fifth-ranked quarterback in the portal, and came out of high school as a five-star prospect. In two years as a Cornhusker, Raiola threw for a combined 4,819 passing yards, 31 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. He missed the final three games of the season with a broken fibula, but improved on average from his freshman season in completion percentage, yards per attempt and yards per game.
Should Moore remain at Oregon, Raiola projects as his backup after both Austin Novosad and Luke Moga entered the transfer portal. The Ducks retain 2025 backup Brock Thomas, underclassmen Akili Smith Jr., Ryder Hayes and Mark Wiepert and incoming freshman Bryson Beaver. Raiola could be in a similar position to Moore when he transferred from UCLA before the 2024 season and sat behind Dillon Gabriel.
If Moore was to declare for the NFL Draft, Raiola would immediately become one of the top options to take over his spot. Oregon doesn’t traditionally announce a depth chart or a starter before the season, but expect the transfer to fight for the starting role, should it be open.
Raiola is a talented prospect regardless, though, and he’s a Duck.
