The Oregon Ducks softball won their third straight in the Eugene Regional, beating BYU 4-1, giving them a birth into the Super Regional. A big fifth inning helped propel the Ducks to victory after a stalemated first four. Oregon pitcher Jessica Moore started her third straight game, allowing six hits, one run and striking out seven. Oregon will go on to face the winner of the Austin Regional, hosted by no. 6 Texas, who lost their first game and will have to win three in a row to advance. If one of the other three teams wins — Northwestern, Houston or Auburn — Oregon will have the opportunity to host their first ever Super Regional.
