A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck 11.8 miles east of Eugene this morning at 8:42. The epicenter was located near Waterville.
On its Twitter account, the City of Springfield said it had received numerous 911 calls but no reports of damage:
4.2 magnitude earthquake 9 miles northeast of springfield. We are taking a lot of 911 calls but no damage reported at this time.
