The Franklin Boulevard Starbucks adjacent to the University of Oregon was vandalized early Wednesday morning.
Numerous windows were smashed, and messages including “Land Back” and “Free Gaza” were spray-painted on the building.
According to Eugene Police Department spokesperson Melinda McLaughlin, a person staying in a hotel near the Starbucks called at 3:44 a.m. to report hearing glass breaking.
McLaughlin also said that 12 windows at the Starbucks located were “completely damaged.”
Starbucks employees at the scene declined to comment.
McLaughlin said that it ”is likely the suspect(s) left in a vehicle,” and that EPD is continuing to investigate the incident.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
