Oakshire Brewing and the Emerald Media Group have teamed up for the second time on tasty, single-batch beer.
Revolutionale will debut at the Emerald’s Revolution Launch Party on at 8 p.m. Oct. 4 in EMU’s Buzz cafe. The beer, a dry-hopped pale ale, celebrates the Emerald’s transition from a traditional daily newspaper to a modern college media company. Revolutionale will also be available in campus-area bars and restaurants.
The Emerald’s Oct. 4 party is a free event in the EMU Amphitheater with live music from The Great Hiatum and ASW, free pizza from Track Town and more than $500 in prizes from The Duck Store, Tactics and the upcoming DayGlow show.
Oakshire, a Eugene craft brewer, and the Emerald brewed their first beer together a year ago, “Hop Off The Press.”
The Emerald, an independent, nonprofit media company, has served as the student voice at the University of Oregon since 1900 and has earned the Pacemaker award, the Pulitzer Prize of college journalism, twice since 1997.
Oakshire Brewing was founded in October 2006 by University graduate Jeff Althouse. Oakshire operates a brewery in Northwest Eugene. Its beers can be found in 22 oz. bottles and on draft throughout the Northwest.
