In September 2008 a group of students participating in the Outdoor Program began the University of Oregon Bike Loan Program. Following the renovation of Outdoor Program Barn in the summer of 2009, the Bike Loan Program became the UO Bike Program with its own maintenance shop, providing bike loans, workshops and other related services to campus.
Any UO student can rent a commuter bike for $15 per term with a $65 refundable deposit, or other bikes for $12 per day. In addition, students can get help repairing their bikes for free, even when their bikes are not UO Bike Program bikes. Students can also acquire advice on purchasing used bikes.
UO Bike Loan Program is located in the Outdoor Program Barn on 18th and University Street and is open weekdays 12:00-5:00pm.
