With Oregon set to join the Big Ten in 2024, there is a ton of excitement and chatter about its new opponents.
Now, it feels official. The Big Ten released its conference matchups for the next five seasons with opponents set through the 2028 season.
While dates and times are still to be determined, Oregon can at least — and at last — look ahead to know who’s on the schedule.
There are some big names coming to Autzen, and the Ducks have some tough road games in their near future. Oregon has some huge games against the University of Michigan and Ohio State University on the horizon. But, two teams the Ducks have never played before — the University of Maryland and Rutgers University — are on the docket.
In 2024, Oregon will host the University of Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State University, Ohio State and the University of Washington. The Ducks will travel for road games against Michigan, Purdue University, UCLA and the University of Wisconsin.
In 2025, Indiana University, the University of Minnesota, USC and Wisconsin come to Eugene and Oregon will travel to the University of Iowa, Northwestern University, Penn State University, Rutgers and Washington.
In 2026, the Ducks will play Michigan, the University of Nebraska, Northwestern, UCLA and Washington at Autzen Stadium. The road slate will consist of Illinois, Michigan State, USC and Ohio State.
In 2027, Oregon will host Iowa, Ohio State, Penn State and Purdue and play Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, UCLA and Washington on the road.
In 2028, the Ducks will welcome Illinois, Michigan State, Rutgers, USC and Washington to Eugene. Oregon will play Indiana, Minnesota, Penn State and Wisconsin on the road.
There are so many exciting matchups in the near — and somewhat distant — future of Oregon football. The Ducks will have their work cut out for them, but get to play against some of the best teams in the country.
