Maria Weyne, PDX Bureau Chief
Maria Weyne is a first year graduate student in the MMS program at UO Portland. She majored in Digital Media Journalism at Biola University, where she was a News Editor for the Chimes Newspaper, writer for the Point magazine and helped edit the university President’s book. Her love for journalism came from her home country of Brazil’s rich history. At just 14 years old, Maria had decided that finding the truth through investigative journalism was her goal in life, especially focusing on marginalized communities.
