The lawyer for the woman who was assualted in 1993 by Portland mayoral candidate Jefferson Smith while attending the University of Oregon released police and court records to The Oregonian Monday.
In the 1993 Eugene police report, the woman, then 18, told police that Smith “really popped me.” She also told police Smith was coming on to her all night at an off-campus party.
The records show the two met at the Phi Kappa Psi house. Smith was 20 years old and a sophomore at UO.
