Johan Stevon Gillette, 36, was arraigned on two aggravated murder charges Monday afternoon in connection to the death of University Professor Anne Dhu McLucas, 71, and her partner James Gillette, 73.
Johan Gillette, son of James Gillette, is the lead suspect in the double-homicide case that occurred Friday evening in his Cottage Grove home. According to the Lane County Circuit Court, Gillette’s 35-day call time has been set for October 22 — at which time Gillette may file a trial report, change his plea, or request a set over.
Currently, there is no word how Gillette will plead. He is expected to appear again in court next week.
