After playing well in the first half, Oregon simply could not keep up with California in the second, losing 77-60, on Sunday, January 8, 2012 in Eugene. The Ducks only trailed by 3 points at the half, but guard Allen Crabbe and the Golden Bears ran away in the second, with Crabbe scoring 23 points in 10 minutes leading Cal to the victory. As Oregon got cold California became hot in the second half going 60% from the field, 20% better than the first half. Coming off of a 30 point game, Oregon’s Devoe Joseph had only 14 points, only 6 for 14. Late in the second half, Johnathan Loyd came up lame after a defensive series and had to be carried off the field. There is no report on his condition as of yet. The Ducks take a trip to the desert this week, playing Arizona State on January 12 and Arizona on the 14th.
