Director of Tennis Nils Schyllander finalized the Oregon tennis staff by hiring Paul Reber as the associate director of tennis and Bart Scott as an assistant men’s tennis coach.
Reber, a former Arizona State assistant coach, was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s West Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2005. He coached eight All-Americans and helped guide eight teams to the Sweet 16 during his time at Arizona State.
“He has clearly been one of the top coaches in the country for the past 10 years and his passion and knowledge of what it takes to be successful at the Pac-10 level will keep moving the program in the right direction,” Schyllander said in a University press release.
This will be Scott’s first collegiate coaching position. He spent one year as a graduate assistant for the University of New Mexico after completing his eligibility for the Lobos.
