After being upset by the Stanford Cardinal Saturday night in Eugene, the Oregon Ducks have dropped from No. 1 in both the AP and Coaches poll to fifth on the AP list and fourth among coaches.
With Kansas State, previously ranked second in both polls, losing to Baylor, they have dropped to seventh in the AP and eighth in the coaches poll.
The losses to Oregon and Kansas State left Notre Dame the sole undefeated team and the unanimous top team in. In addition, the losses pushed Alabama up to number two, putting them back in the National Championship Game hunt.
After beating Oregon, Stanford has moved up three spots in the AP poll and currently sit at No. 11, while UCLA’s big win over state rival USC has bumped them up to 15th and dropped USC out of the top 25.
Oregon State’s 62-14 trashing of Cal didn’t help them in the polls as they slipped a spot and now reside in the 16th slot.
The BCS rankings will be unveiled at 5:30 pm on ESPN.

Update:
With the new BCS rankings out, Oregon is fifth. With No.1 Notre Dame playing USC this week and Alabama inevitably playing Georgia in the SEC title game, dreams of a BCS National Championship berth for Ducks fans aren’t completely shattered but the days of controlling their own destiny are gone.
A trip to the Rose Bowl is also still possible but the Ducks will need a win against the Oregon State Beavers in the Civil War and for UCLA to beat Stanford this week to be able to play in the Pac-12 Championship game.
The Pac-12 still holds six teams in the top 25 with Arizona making an appearance and USC dropping out.
