After arresting two men on charges of hit-and-run this morning, police discovered the men may be suspects in a unrelated burglary case.
Shortly before noon, an SUV driven by Peter Cuddie, 27, and Zachary Lobue, 29, hit another vehicle after running a red light. Both men ran from the SUV, and were quickly captured by Eugene police officers because the Eugene Police Department was nearby.
When investigating the hit-and-run, officers discovered Cuddie and Lobue had possessions from a house in the Ferry Street Bridge area that had recently been robbed.
Both men are charged with burglary, aggravated theft and hit-and-run. Police are continuing to investigate the burglary.
