No. 3 Oregon volleyball continues their four-game road trip, stopping in Boulder to take on the University of Colorado Buffaloes at 6 p.m. Friday evening.
The Buffaloes are 13-9 overall but have struggled in conference play, toting a 3-7 record against members of the Pac-12.
Colorado is the third stop of the longest road trip of the year for Jim Moore’s squad, and they hope to handle their business successfully in Boulder before ending the trip in Utah on Sunday. The Ducks are hoping to maintain their momentum, but in order to defeat the Buffaloes, they will need outside hitter Alaina Bergsma to continue her excellent play and for setter Lauren Plum to sustain her effectiveness setting up the rest of the team.
The remainder of the road trip provides an excellent opportunity for the team to not only notch two more wins against the cellar dwellers of the Pac-12, but also to continue the maturation and development of freshman, such as middle blocker Canace Finley.
The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Network, and if the Ducks want to be considered legitimate national title contenders, these are the types of games that must take care of.
