In response to David Goward’s letter, (“Senator Nate Gulley should grow up and represent all of student body,” ODE, March 15). I do not know the entire situation between Nate Gulley and Ted Niedermeyer, nor the situation between Nate Gulley and The Oregon Commentator (if there even is one). I don’t really care to know dramatic details either. I do know that I read the Commentator every now and then and it cracks me up.
I also know that as a fifth-year senior out of here in one week, I couldn’t give a rat’s ass about the ASUO or their never-ending PFC budget debate that makes the Emerald every week as if it’s actually some pressing issue. Give me a break. It is a student government constricted to a tiny little campus sphere. Student government, to me, is a joke and who cares? Let some kids play “politician” for a bit and get over it.
That’s why when Nate Gulley is saying things like “Ted Niedermeyer can kiss my ass” I actually applaud him. It adds some spice to things, and I enjoy reading Nate’s blunt comments much more than this silly David Goward “I’m such a mature psuedo-politician” crap.
So for this reason, I really do not have much to say except: Thanks, Nate, and keep it up – seriously. I’d much rather get a kick out of your remarks while eating my burger at Taylor’s than yawn over the same ASUO babble over nothing. If Nate’s representing anyone, he’s representing all of us who do not sit there and go, “Oh my god man at the ASUO we have such high ethical and moral standards blah blah blah.”
Get over it, step back, and laugh at it all a bit.

Kudos to Gulley for representing constituents who don’t care
