Today the LGBTQA will host a discussion about gender and sexual stereotypes as part of its annual Sex Week, which encourages sex positivity on campus.
The conversation will delve into how European and North American sexuality differ from expressions of sexuality in other parts of the world. The discussion will begin at 5 p.m. in EMU Suite 34.
Also at 5 p.m. today, the Survival Center will host a “Bondage 101” workshop in EMU Suite 1. The center will provide rope to practice with and teach knot-tying in its “introduction to tying up lovers.”
At 6:30 p.m., the Sexual Wellness Advocacy Team, a “sex-positive” group that educates with theatrical exercises, will present a workshop about consent, relationships and dating violence. The workshop will also be in EMU Suite 34.
On Friday, the Multicultural Center presents “How to make your own Flogger” in EMU Suite 33. The workshop begins at 5 p.m. A flogger is a type of whip intended for erotic use. Workshop instructors will educate attendees about how to use a flogger without causing serious pain or injury.
Following the workshop, the Multicultural Center will host a sex-positive movie night in EMU Suite 33. The featured film will be “Shortbus” or “Zerophilia” and will begin at 6:30 p.m.
