On the Rocks takes
third at tournament
On the Rocks, the University’s all-male a cappella group, took third place Sunday at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella tournament at Lincoln Center in New York City.
The University of Michigan’s Compulsive Lyres won the six-group competition, and Last Call from Cornell University took second place.
During the competition, each group had 15 minutes of performance time. On the Rocks, a 9-member group, performed three songs: “Center of Attention,” by Guster, “I would Fly,” an original song from member Chris Dobson and “In the End,” by Linkin Park.
