After his four-touchdown and 304-yard performance against USC, Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota won the Manning Award Player of the Week in a landslide victory.
Mariota won the fan-vote in the award given out by the Allstate Sugar Bowl by earning 3,101 votes, far ahead of second place Colby Cameron of Louisiana Tech’s 719 votes. Mariota’s runaway victory earned him the second most votes in the history of the award.
It was one of several player of the week awards for the Ducks this week, with senior running back Kenjon Barner also taking home several different player of the week honors after his five-touchdown, 321-yard performance against USC.
