Briefly explain your platform.
True Blue; book exchange program, we want to keep the library open 24/7, preserve late night busses.
What qualities and experience qualify you to be an ASUO senator?
Well, for me, I’ve been in the ASUO since the beginning. I started out in the Student Vote Coalition. I was in the internship program under the state affairs director. I stick it out to the bitter end. I do my work; I show up on time.
What are your thoughts on the purpose and size of the student incidental fee?
The incidental fee from my knowledge is exaggerated for how much every student can pay because it was based on an enrollment of 17,000. We have the technology and the foresight to realize we have enrollment higher than that and can lower the incidental fee.
How will you ensure that you are representing your constituents’ interests?
Go and talk to them. The first thing I will do is go to talk to all of the social science heads and say. “I am supposed to be the liaison between the ASUO and social sciences. What do you need?”
What are some major issues facing social science students and how would you address them?
From what I’ve heard, the political science degree is easy. And some students take it with this laissez-faire attitude. I would ask students what is the quality of the class you are taking, the quality of the professor and then go to the department heads and give them the information I get from students.
