The 50-year-old structure has been failing for several years and its collapse is believed to be a result of last week’s heavy rainfall.
Deer gets antlers caught in Christmas lights
According to KVAL, biologists tranquilized a deer in order to disentangle its antlers and throat after it got wrapped up in Christmas lights. The incident occurred in a neighborhood near Chambers Street and 25th Avenue.
In urban areas around this time of year, deer oftentimes get tangled in Christmas lights and hammocks because of rutting — male deer rubbing their antlers against trees and fighting with other deer as a part of mating patterns.
