Return of Ratched
Louise Fletcher, famous for her role as Nurse Ratched from the 1975 film”One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” will return to Salem, Ore. to help open the Oregon State Hospital Museum of Mental Health, reported the Statesman Journal.
The museum will feature an exhibit on the film, which was filmed there.
i-Phone journey
Oregon resident Gabriel Paez finished a journey from Seaside, Ore. to Portland, Maine, with using only a Vespa and a homemade panoramic camera made of eight i-Phones, reported Digital Trends.
The journey took 10 days to complete. Paez even made stops in Toronto and Montreal.
Obama prevents Chinese wind farm ownership in Oregon
Ralls Corp., owned by Chinese nationals, is suing Obama for preventing their wind farm deal, located near a naval facility, reported BBC News.
This is the first time in 22 years that the government has intervened with a foreign investment.
PSU space experiment
Portland State University researchers, with the help of the International Space Station, will launch their space experiments this weekend, reported KGW.
The experiment involves observing liquids in zero gravity.
Gunfire in Aloha
A 24-year-old man was shot dead in Aloha, Tuesday night, after a heated argument, reported KGW.
A 41-year-old was held suspect. It appears that the two men were strangers.
