The Ducks volleyball team remained firmly rooted in the No. 3 slot for the second week in a row in the AVCA poll. Ranked behind only Penn State and Stanford (the only team that has defeated the Ducks as of yet), Oregon finds itself in prime position to make a run for the national title behind the leadership of eighth-year head coach Jim Moore.
Moore’s squad is coming off of a sweep of the Arizona schools and will finish their four-game road trip this weekend when they square off against Colorado and Utah.

Starting defensive tackle Isaac Remington, one of the defensive leaders of the now formidable Oregon line may be back in uniform when the Ducks face off against Colorado on Saturday at noon.
Remington, who missed last Thursday’s game against Arizona State after he was suspended by Chip Kelly in relation to a DUII charge has been reinstated after having the charges dropped.

While going mostly unacknowledged by the coaches and players, Oregon is now the 4th-ranked team in the BCS standings, as the computers have now dropped them behind the Kansas State Wildcats.
While it is still too early for Ducks fans to go into panic mode and fear that an undefeated season will not be enough to garner an appearance in the BCS National Championship in Miami, it never hurts to keep an eye on the competition.
The Wildcats host No. 15 Texas Tech on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and the game will televised on FOX.
