The heated Oregon-Washington rivalry intesified this weekend with Oregon Ducks’ volleyball dealing the Washington Huskies their first loss of the season. The game got off in dramatic fashion, with both the Ducks and the Huskies quickly putting points on the board. The Huskies took the early lead in the first set, but the Ducks chipped away and ultimately won it 26 – 24 off a spike from junior middle blocker Ariana Williams. In the second set both teams repeatedly put points on the board, but Washington came out on top. Returning from half-time, Williams and redshirt senior outside hitter Alaina Bergsma carried the team to a 3 – 1 victory.
