Thanks for running the photo of the local mallard ducks in a recent Emerald issue. Whenever I see that little mallard duck couple around campus, I’m always so enamored with them and grateful that they have their freedom. It’s nice to see some fowl that aren’t stuck in a cage pumping out eggs for the University. But if you do want to see that, go to uoregon.edu/~seta where you can also find out how to tell the University to set ’em free already.
