This is the first time I’ve written to the Emerald, and I’m doing so because I am completely dumbfounded at the lack of any mention of the April 14 town hall meeting in the EMU Ballroom that filled seats so quickly with faculty, staff and many others that it exceeded the seating capacity of 760 and probably numbered close to 1,000.
I am simply curious as to why there was no coverage of the information disseminated to the crowd and the direct questioning of University President Dave Frohnmayer and the executive administrators.
Maybe I am wrong in thinking that a story like this belongs in the Daily Emerald, but it seems that at least a commentary would be put into the issue that shows the concern of the people who support and serve the whole of the student population.
