In a conclusion to ongoing rumors, Oregon and Oregon State will continue their storied football rivalry beginning with a newly scheduled game in Corvallis in 2024, according to Nick Daschel of the Oregonian.
Oregon has dominated the matchup of late, winning 13 of the last 16 contests between the two inter-state foes. Most recently, the Ducks were victorious beating the Beavers 31-7 on Nov 24.
Following the game, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning reiterated his desire to maintain the rivalry series despite the Ducks leaving for the Big Ten Conference next year.
“I think it’s a great rivalry for the state of Oregon and would certainly love to keep it going,” Lanning said.
Oregon is making room on its non-conference schedule by dropping Texas Tech, which will instead play Washington State as part of the Cougars’ non-conference schedule.
The Ducks and Beavers will continue to face off in the near future. Next year’s contest is rumored to take place on Sept.14.
